Analysis of the incidence of urogenital chlamydia infection in Belarus for the period 2001–2015 years

We analyzed the incidence of urogenital chlamydia infection in the Republic of Belarus for the
period from 2001 to 2015 years. There was a steady decline in the incidence, which in 2015 year
amounted to 76.3 cases per 100 thousand population. However, this data is 2–5 times less than
the number of countries (Sweden, Denmark, United Kingdom and others), which may be due to
diff erences in the methods diagnosis, used test systems, coverage of various contingents of the
population, registration system. Characterized the basic aspects of the laboratory diagnosis of
Chlamydia trachomatis and implemented control measures of infection in the country.
